Osmond's experience lies in Ecophysiological aspects of photosynthesis, especially metabolism of succulent plants and mechanisms of light stress. He uses non invasive methods at the leaf to canopy level that can be adapted for remote sensing of photoprotection and of photoinactivation that leads to photodamage.
