Biography:
Research focus in stream ecology and water quality issues related to surface coal mining. Interested in the fate and transport of selenium in aquatic ecosystems and quantifying bioaccumulation factors. Prior to joining the Di Giulio laboratory at Duke, Lindberg was a contract environmental specialist for a large energy producer based in North Carolina. While there, he conducted field surveys measuring fish and benthic macroinvertebrate diversity along with water quality monitoring at sites associated with hydro, nuclear and coal-fired electricity production.
