    Abstract:
The general expression for the mass parameter, B, in a previously introduced self-cranked generator coordinate formalism is transformed into a form not containing the Hamiltonian explicitly, which is then evaluated using deformed harmonic oscillator wave functions with BCS pairing and short-range Jastrow correlations. The behaviour of the overlap matrix elements, including the nondiagonal elements between wave functions with different deformations, are investigated using a diagrammatic technique. Numerical calculations show that B is smaller than its irrotational flow or cranking model values and has important modifications from the short-range correlations
