Pamela K. Ahrens

Director, Fast Track Data Center

Pamela Ahrens, database analyst and director of the Fast Track Data Center, has been with the Center since it was established in 1999 and with Fast Track since 1997, moving with the data center from its original location at Vanderbilt University. Ahrens supervises Fast Track Data Center personnel, maintains the longitudinal data from the Fast Track project, and responds to requests from researchers worldwide. She also assists with the data for the Child Development Project.

Ahrens is an Illinois native with over 30 years of programming experience, a Master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology, and has publications, presentations, and research experience in substance abuse, computer stress, organizational surveys, the development of training manuals, personality characteristics of invalid responders to surveys, and the disgruntled employees' propensity to leave employment.
