Erika Hallerman began her work as coordinator of the newly-funded Truancy Prevention Project in August 2012, working closely with Phil Cook, Amy Schulting, and Ken Dodge on the project. Hallerman has a B.S. in elementary education and an M.S. in Instructional Technology (K-12). Her thesis was on the effects of age of entry in kindergarten on the success of second grade children.
Hallerman has nearly ten years of experience teaching at the elementary and preschool level, mostly at the elementary level in New York State, where she received her tenure and permanent teaching certification. Her passion is in working with some of the most challenging children and families and helping children and families develop a sense of pride through praise and encouragement.
