Postdoctoral Associate
Nina Smith joined the Center as a postdoctoral associate in 2012 after completing her Ph.D. in human development and family studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is interested in the linkages between economic conditions such as poverty, job loss, and shift work, and children’s cognitive and behavioral adjustment. Her current projects involve identifying the effects of state-wide job loss on children’s development as well as correlates of work-family balance among Mexican immigrant families.
