Sulzberger Family/Dan Levitan Social Policy Graduate Research Fellow
As a doctoral student in clinical psychology, Anya Drabkin’s research focuses on two main areas of interest: determining how mental health intervention, especially with adolescents, can be used as a method of HIV prevention, and examining the psychosocial effects of incarceration on families and communities. Working with Duke Professor Kathy Sikkema, Drabkin assists in coordinating the New York-based study “Positive Choices: Brief care-based HIV prevention for newly diagnosed men.”
Drabkin earned her undergraduate degree in cultural anthropology from Northwestern University and a Master's degree from the Harvard School of Public Health.
