Graduate Student
Shelley Alonso-Marsden is a graduate student in clinical psychology. Her research interests include the development of conduct disorders, antisocial behavior, and substance abuse in children and adolescents; ethnic minorities; and public policies and interventions for these populations. Alonso-Marsden is working under the mentorship of Ken Dodge on the Durham Connects, Child Development Project, and Fast Track. She is funded through Duke's Dean's Graduate Award Fellowship and an NIH Research Supplement to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research to Dr. Dodge's NIDA grant.
Alonso-Marsden received her undergraduate degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 2006 and worked as a research assistant at the University of Colorado Denver before coming to Duke.
