    Danielle Zapotoczny is an Adjunct Instructor at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. She teaches a seminar called Innovating for Social Impact.

    Zapotoczny, a former Duke public policy major, is interested in the role that public-private partnerships and storytelling play in driving social action and explores this through her teaching.

    Zapotoczny currently has two core responsibilities at the United Nations Foundation: Senior Director of Partnerships & Communications and Strategic Advisor to the United Nations Creative Community Outreach Initiative. She is also a Strategic Advisor to the Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative. She previously worked as a Strategic Advisor to Lucasfilm on the Star Wars Force for Change social action campaign and to UCLA on the Burkle Global Impact Initiative.

    Prior to joining the UN Foundation, Zapotoczny served for nine years as a Producer and Vice President at Wheelhouse Entertainment where she oversaw development, production and marketing for writer/director Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers, Pearl Harbor) and the company's music, book and gaming properties. She managed relationships with the Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros., Paramount, Sony Pictures and co-produced the Vietnam War film We Were Soldiers.

    For a decade, she donated her time as the Founding Executive Director of Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity, an entertainment industry partnership with Habitat for Humanity that helped hardworking families achieve their dream of homeownership.
