    Abstract:
Cook comments on Manski's essay entitled "Credible Research Practices to Inform Drug Law Enforcement." Although he agrees with Manski that the quality of the statistical evidence is poor, he holds that drug enforcement researchers have made important contributions in structuring and defining the drug problem. Moreover, he suggests that the public interest would be well served if policy makers heeded the advice of drug policy researchers.
