    Highlight:

    Erik Garr is the Regional Manager for Google Fiber in the Southeast region of the United States. Erik is responsible for the day to day operations of Google Fiber’s super fast internet and TV service that is now available in the southeast markets of Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, Raleigh/Durham, Huntsville, and, soon, Louisville.

    Prior to Google, Erik was a consultant, entrepreneur and policymaker in the technology industry. He is most proud of his time at the Federal Communications Commission, where he was the General Manager of the National Broadband Plan. Erik led the development of America’s first long-term plan for our broadband infrastructure, which he delivered to Congress on March 16, 2010, drawing the support of thousands of companies, government agencies and community groups, including praise for the plan from President Barack Obama.

    Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science with high honors from the University of Michigan, and holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Chicago.
