Following graduation, she worked as an Economist at the U.S. Department of Commerce. At Commerce, she used data from the Census Bureau and Bureau of Economic Analysis to contribute to published research regarding women's economic and educational attainment and the differences in broadband Internet adoption across the U.S., among other topics. She received an MA in Economics from Duke in 2015. Her research examines how women's relative economic resources influence their relationship quality and joint career decisions. She focuses on two unique populations, low-income parents and dual-medical couples, using large-n longitudinal data, an experimental survey, and semi-structured interviews.
