    Highlight:

    Dean Storelli has a M.A. (1988) in Languages, Literature and Social Studies from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.A. (1986) in English Literature from Duke University. He teaches writing and communications courses at the Duke Center for International Development (DCID), which is part of the Sanford School of Public Policy. Prior to moving to the DCID, he was the founder and lead instructor for Duke University’s ESL Teacher Training Program, in their Continuing Education department. Other teaching experiences include three years as the curriculum coordinator and lead instructor at the Crossroads Language Institute, Kobe, Japan and two years as an instructor at the Metropolitan Career Institute, New York, New York.

    Throughout his career, his primary focus has been on culturally appropriate communication strategies, both in writing and speaking. He collaborates often with faculty and student writers. He also spends a significant amount of time serving as a consultant for the non-profit group, The Navigators, developing print and web-based teaching materials.

    Dean is married to Anne Storelli. They have three adult children.
