| Biographical Info of Gloria AyeeGloria Ayee is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Duke University, and is pursuing a graduate certificate in African and African American Studies. Her research interests include political reconciliation, political communication, political participation of immigrant populations, and race and civil rights policy. Her dissertation entitled “Restorative Justice and Political Forgiveness: A Comparative Analysis of Truth and Reconciliation Commissions” examines the institutional structure and role of Truth and Reconciliation Commissions in the democratic transformation of countries with a history of civil conflict and human rights abuses. Ayee holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Dordt College, and Master’s degrees in Liberal Studies and Political Science from Duke University. She previously worked as a Research Associate with the Center for Globalization, Governance and Competitiveness (CGGC) at Duke University. Ayee is currently a graduate research intern with the John Hope Franklin Research Center for African and African American History & Culture at Duke University. | |
