Merrill Shatzman, Associate Professor of the Practice of Visual Arts

Specialization:

    Printmaking, Book Arts, Graphic Design, Drawing


Research Interests:

Merrill Shatzman received her B.F.A. degree from the Rhode Island School of Design and M.A. and M.F.A. degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before coming to Duke in 1985, Ms. Shatzman taught at Sonoma State University and at California State University Long Beach. Her work is abstract and is primarily involved in the printmaking processes of etching, woodcut, lithography and silkscreen, and branches into drawing and painting media.
