My interest is in social decision making processes and the development of social skills in nonhumans. I am particularly curious about the proximate mechanisms that may underlie social interaction such as theory of mind and triadic awareness, and how these mediators evolved. Current research focuses on our closest extant relatives, chimpanzees and bonobos.
