- Education:
- A.B., Bryn Mawr College, 2000
Research Interests:
I recently completed two years of fieldwork with wild Bornean
orangutans in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. For my dissertation I
am comparing the behavior, ecology, and genetics of two
populations of orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) on either
side of an impassible riverine dispersal barrier in attempt to
evaluate the strength of a cultural interpretation against
alternative ecological and genetic hypotheses to account for
patterns of behavioral variation across and within these
populations.
