Emily V. Moran, Biology Graduate Student

Emily V. Moran

I am interested in plant-animal interactions, plant reproduction, and the interaction, via demography, of ecological and evolutionary processes. My thesis project focuses on dispersal, gene-flow, and reproductive success in red oak (Quercus rubra). I am currently developing a hierarchical Bayesian model which incorporates ecological and genetic data to simultaneously estimate parentage of seedlings as well as seed and pollen dispersal parameters. I am a member of Jim Clark's lab.
