David M. Kidd
Research Associate
Research Interests: GIS, Ecological Niche Models, Historical Biogeography My research interests revolve around using Geographical Information Systems to relate patterns of biodiversity (species and genetic variation within species) to patterns of landscape and climate structure and historical change. I employ two case studies to develop and test database structures as well as analysis and visualization approaches; (1) biodiversity in the European bushcricket genus Ephippiger and Pleistocene iceages, and (2) biodiversity of Mesoamerican fish and the history of river catchment change since the Miocene. |
