Research Interests
Our research program will focus on pushing the limits of spatial, temporal and biochemical resolution in live cell studies. We will focus on the development of real-time 3D microscopy methods using active optical feedback single particle tracking combined with super-resolution methods and hybrid plasmonic nanomaterials to investigate multiscale biological processes. We will apply these new methods to study fast 3D biological phenomena, such as the infection pathway of a single virus particle from the extracellular space and the uptake of nanoscale materials at the cell membrane.
