Danielle is a third-year Ph.D. student in Classical Studies. Her research interests lie better understanding the roles of women at the frontiers of the Roman Empire, Britannia in particular, and how women were engaged as active contributors to military communities and in religious practices.
More broadly, she likes to think about networks of connectivity within the Roman Empire, particularly as they relate to the movement and consumption of everyday materials, ideas, and images in the western provinces and how these patterns can aid in our understanding of ancient identities. She is also greatly interested in museum curation and education practices, archaeological and classical ethics, and the ongoing pursuit of promoting equity within the field. She has a B.A. in Honors Research in Classics and Archaeology from the University of Rochester and a M.A. in Archaeology from Cornell University.
