Research Interests: Macroeconomics and International Macroeconomics

Kent Kimbrough joined the Economics faculty in 1980 after receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. His research interests in the areas of international economics and macroeconomics focus on the role of the inflation tax, the welfare and revenue effects of inflation, the macroeconomic implications of trade policy, and optimal taxation. He teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in international economics and macroeconomics. Professor Kimbrough is a Co-editor of the Southern Economic Journal.
