Research Interests: Industrial Organization, Procurement Theory, Bargaining Theory, and Public Finance
Huseyin Yildirim joined Duke in the fall of 2000 after receiving his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Florida. He is from Turkey and received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering, followed by an M.A. in Economics, from Bilkent University, Turkey. While his primary research interest has been in the field of industrial organization, with special focus on the implications of learning curve in repeated procurement environments, he also has a strong interest on issues pertaining to political economy and public finance. In fact, his current work examines multilateral bargaining situations in which involved parties can expend resources to be the proposer. Professor Yildirim teaches Industrial Organization in both graduate and undergraduate levels. - Keywords:
