Avinno Faruk

Avinno Faruk is a graduate student in the MS in Economics and Computational Science (MSEC) program at Duke University. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Environment and Climate Change sub-cluster, Economic Cluster at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University. Avinno started her career at Innovations for Poverty Action, Bangladesh (IPA-B) as an Associate Research Analyst in 2019. She has completed her BSS and MSS in Economics from the University of Dhaka. During her undergraduate years, she participated in the 14th and 15th South Asian Economics Students’ Meet (SAESM) and won the Best Paper Award in both instances. She has published in Development Policy Review, South Asia Economic Journal, and UNU-WIDER Working Paper Series, among others. Avinno previously published work on labor economics, development economics, and the economics of gender.
