Clair is currently Program Coordinator in the Economics Department and helps run the Financial Education Partnership program with Professor Rasiel. Clair spends her time devising & running various competitions & events with Finance professionals to simulate real-life working situations on Wall Street – including a valuation case study and an equity research competition. She also spends a significant amount of time mentoring and advising students on careers in the finance industry in partnership with the Duke Career Center. Prior to coming to Duke in 2007 Clair spent over 10 years working in the Financial Services Industry in London. She joined UBS in 1998 and earned a promotion to a Sales Trader for US Equities in 1999 she then joined boutique broker Sanford C. Bernstein in 2001 as a Sales Trader for European Equities, covering the French & UK client base. In 2006 she took a position as a Client Services Associate for the Institutional Client Services division of AllianceBernstein, there she covered 10 of the firm’s top 30 clients.
