She is currently working on her dissertation, tentatively titled Romantic Endeavours: Narrative, Subjectivity, and the Pursuit of Happiness, 1780-1820, which explores intimations of Spinoza's philosophy, particularly the concept of conatus (endeavour), in Romantic-era narratives and their re-imaginations of subjectivity and progress. She holds an MA in English from the University of British Columbia and a BA (high honors) in English from University of California, Berkeley.
