    Pockels cells was designed for the infrared range 2-10 μm. A CdTe crystal was used to provide strong Pockels effect. The maximum effective crystal length availed was 47 mm. Its dispersion were between 2 and 10 μm. A square pulse driver circuit was used. FEL supplied its first trigger. The second trigger was locally generated with a PIN photodiode. Single transition of Vpc was also utilized to generate short pulses. In single transition, the length of transmitted optical pulse was dependent on the transition speed of the HV. Pockels cell was shown to operate for a pulse duration of 80 ns with the use of square pulse HV driver. Pockels cell operated at 35 ns (FWHM) with single transition driver. 35 ns (FWHM) represented the upper limit. With FEL macropulse, Pockels cell can be continuously adjusted to switch out from 80 ns to the full 6 μs.
