Abstract:
The CDFII detector at Fermilab contains a large drift
chamber called the Central Outer Tracker (COT)
which is used for measuring the trajectories of charged
particles. We describe a method of identifying
COT tracks as cosmic rays by using the drift chamber as
a distributed time-of-flight detector.
