Current projects: International Standards Project: Accounting Standards Survey, Effect of International Institutions on FDI into Developing Countries, The Allocation of Private Development Aid, Institutional Change & Competition Policy in the European Union

My research interests are in international and comparative political economy.  Three general themes are common to my work: the evolution and persistence of institutions and the ways in which institutions enable and constrain actors; the role of non-state actors in international politics; and the potential for synergies from the combined use of qualitative and quantitative methods.  Some of this work has been published in the American Political Science Review, World Politics, and the journal Governance.
