Research Interests:

Broadly, I am interested in the interface between social psychological theory and education. Specifically, I am interested in the nature of motivation and the relationship between motivation and academic achievement. In particular, how individual differences, including cultural and gender differences, relate to motivation and academic achievement. Furthermore, I am interested in pursuing research examining how theory-based motivation curriculum and school programs may improve academic performance. Currently, I am conducting a research synthesis of empirical studies on the impact of choice on intrinsic motivation.
