Research Interests:

For the past eleven years I've studies the social and physical landscapes of American teenagers. I'm fascinated by the spatial behavior and spatial meanings that young people have, and how those are often different than the behaviors and beliefs of adults. This has included exploring the institutions that young people are compelled to inhabit (homes, schools, and youth centers, for example), as well as the causal gathering places that they choose themselves.
