David A. Behm, Assistant Professor

David Behm received his commission as an Army Field Artillery Officer through Providence College in Rhode Island, where he graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After his initial training, he served on Active Duty with the 25th Infantry Division out of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. During this time, he served as a Fire Support Officer, Platoon Leader, Battalion HR Manager and Battalion Effects Coordinator and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom for a total of 27 months. CPT Behm joined the Army Reserve in 2013 and was re-branched Military Intelligence in 2014. He spent 9 months in Afghanistan in 2016 as a Brigade Intelligence Officer for the Resolute Support Sustainment Brigade and is currently a Company Commander in the 325th MI Battalion. In addition to his military experience, CPT Behm holds a Masters in International Security from the University of Sydney in Australia, where he lived for over a year. His awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal (2), the Army Commendation Medal (2), the Army Achievement Medal (2), the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Combat Action Badge and the Army Parachutist Badge.
