President Brodhead announced a university-wide effort to raise $300 million in endowment for financial aid by the end of 2008 -- $245 million for undergraduate scholarships and $55 million for graduate and professional school students. A group of donors has committed $100 million in challenge funds to help Duke meet this goal. [more]
