Colleen Fitzpatrick, Associate Dean for Advancement
Associate Dean for Advancement Colleen Fitzpatrick came to Arts & Sciences Development in May 2001. Ms. Fitzpatrick was senior major gifts director at the Duke University Development Office since December 1998. She was previously associate dean for Arts & Sciences Development at the University of Virginia. Her career in higher education dates to 1981; her focus on development began in 1989. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA, 1977) and Rutgers University (M.Ed. 1980). She lives in Durham with her husband, Fred Pugsley, an architect with the Gurlitz Architectural Group. Their son, Fritz, is an undergraduate at Elon University. Their daughter Clare lives in Manhattan.
