Emily Dubie, of Religious Studies and Graduate Program in Religion

Emily Dubie

Emily Dubie is a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Program in Religion.  Her areas of research include Christian ethics, systematic theology, political theology, and religious theory and method.  Her dissertation, entitled "The Limits of Love: Perplexity, Fatigue, and Prayer," examines the moral contours of care within bureaucratic settings.  Employing qualitative methods, the project considers how Christian social workers deliberate about the limits of human agency as they distribute social services across asymmetries of power.

She holds a M.T.S in Moral Theology / Christian Ethics from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. in International Relations from Saint Anselm College.
