I am a fifth-year PhD Candidate, interested in the intersections of race and education in the twentieth century. My dissertation is tentatively titled "Separate but Equitable: Race, Liberalism, and Ending Desegregation in Austin, Texas." My primary adviser is Adriane Lentz-Smith, and committee members are Sarah Deutsch, Nancy MacLean, and Charles Clotfelter (Sanford).

I am a 2021 National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellow, and am happy to share application materials with anyone in search of guidance on applying.
