Modern European Intellectual History. I specialize in France, in particular the early Third Republic (roughly 1870-1914). My dissertation is centered on the work Georges Sorel (1847-1922). Interests include: the history of literature and literary theory; the Francophone Caribbean; philosophy of science; political theory; the history of socialism, US intellectual history.
