I am currently working on two book projects: The Banjo: A Cultural History (under contract with Harvard University Press), The Empire of French Soccer (under contract with University of California Press). I am also writing, with Richard Turits, A History of the Caribbean (under contract with the University of North Carolina Press) and, with Julius Scott, Origins of the Black Atlantic: A Reader (under contract with Routledge Press).
