   Author's Comments:
   This paper gives upper estimates on the energy of harmonic functions on manifolds with nonnegative scalar curvature. Given a harmonic function which equals one on a surface and goes to zero at infinity, we found that the energy of this harmonic function is bounded above by a quantity depending on the Hawking mass of the surface and the area of the surface.
