    Abstract:
Motivated by analyzing complicated time series, nonlinear-type time–frequency analysis has become an active research topic in the past decades. Those developed tools have been applied to various problems. In this article, we review those developed tools and summarize their applications to high-frequency biomedical signals. They are applied to extract useful features from the signal or quantify its dynamical behavior for the subsequent statistical analysis.
