Research Summary:
My research interests broadly span contextual influences (i.e., neighborhood, school, family, and workplace) on development throughout the life course. I investigate interactions among environmental, physiological (i.e., stress hormones and processes), and psychosocial level factors. Furthermore, I am interested in examining well-being with the goal of promoting health and optimal development.
I am currently working on the following projects: 1)Neighborhood quality, neuroendocrine activity, and well-being in middle adulthood, 2) Parental involvement and family-school interactions in middle school, 3)Economic and parenting factors' effects on high school students' and young adults' education and career outcomes among immigrant families.
