Lisa K Fazio

Research Summary:
I am interested in the workings of human memory. Specifically, my current research deals with three main questions. 1) How do people learn new information about the world? Do they learn information from unreliable and/or inaccurate sources? 2) How do people detect errors in the world around them? If I read that St. Petersburg is the capital of Russia, under which circumstances will I realize that it is an incorrect fact? 3) How do people fix errors, both errors that they have produced and errors in the environment around them?
