Research Interests for Molly Weeks

Research Interests:

Broadly, my research examines the influence of social experiences on emotional well-being in childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood, and can be categorized into two separate though related lines of inquiry. The first line of inquiry focuses on the conceptualization and assessment of loneliness and belongingness, with the aim of evaluating the viability of a conceptual distinction between the two constructs by examining the overlapping and distinct factors that influence each experience. The second line of inquiry focuses more specifically on loneliness, and how relationship expectations and experiences interact to produce feelings of loneliness for male and female youth.
