Research Description: Rudy's current project builds a new approach to animal advocacy based on feminist, postmodern, earth-friendly principles and themes. By studying animals as Pets, Food, Clothing, Entertainment, and in Science, she shows how we might understand the role of animals in human society from a different perspective than current dominant theories such as rights, welfare, or utilitarianism.
