
Eleanor Stevenson joined the DUSON faculty on August 1, 2011. Her responsibilities include teaching in the ABSN program, including the Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family (N220) and the Nursing Specialty and Synthesis (N233) courses, and a clinical group in the Community Health Nursing course. Her expertise is in maternal health, and she has extensive experience in all areas of maternity nursing, including high-risk obstetrics, infertility, and family planning.
Dr. Stevenson earned a bachelor of science degree in 1995 and a master of science degree in 1997, both from Rutgers College of Nursing. She received a Ph.D. degree in nursing earlier this year from New York University. Her doctoral research examined multidimensional stress in women pregnant via in-vitro fertilization. She looks forward to continuing her research focused on women pregnant through advanced reproductive fertility. During her doctoral studies, she received the Alumni Association Doctoral Achievement Award; the Sigma Theta Tau, Upsilon Research Award; The Rudin Family Award for Doctoral Achievement; and the McRae Foundation Award.
