Dr. Henderson's research interest has centered on reproductive health. He has designed and built an in vivo fluorimeter to assess the coating distribution of microbicides, a portable colposcope (screens for cervical cancer) for use in rural areas of developing countries, and a refractometer to identify the fertile interval of a woman's monthly cycle. Currently working with Professor Wax and Katz to develop a multi-spectral fluorimeter, low coherence interferometer, and a confocal microscope, all for in vivo use.
