    Abstract:
A model for the nonlinear molecular photonic processes occurring in the fiber-core liquid molecules was developed. The model was used to analyze the nonlinear transmission of nanosecond and picosecond laser pulses through these fibers. In the picosecond regime, nonlinear absorptions play the dominant role, whereas in the nanosecond regime, thermal-density effects are further required for achieving comparable limiting performance characteristics. The thresholds and limited-clamped output from these fiber structures are below sensor damage levels.
