    Record of construction of navigation canal, connecting Delaware River with Chesapeake Bay, having length of 14 mi. and summit level 17 ft. above mean low water of Delaware River; history of project from 1764; quantities, yardage, prices, total costs, and methods of procedure in connection with dredging operations; descriptions of bridges; outline of hydraulic theory as applied to project; economic value of canal.
