Work on an X-Y co-ordinate manipulator design with four moving degrees (3 translations and 1 rotation) is described. The manipulator is provided with digital command and works according to received digital data about position, operating sequences and conditions. The digital command also provides driving and control signals for the manipulator's electrical drives
