   Abstract:
   Examines buoyancy-induced convection in fluid-saturated porous media. A vertical cylindrical well, filled with porous medium, opens into a semi-infinite space filled with the same porous medium. The author analyses the convection pattern generated when the cylindrical wall and the semi-infinite space are maintained at different temperatures
